This book is a collection of poetry written in the last several years and has two parts. "The Thirsty Fish" contains some poems inspired by the writings of the sufi poet Rumi as translated by Coleman Barks. "Latter Days" reflects feelings of aging and reactions to these violent times with its aura of apocalyptic change.
excerpts
The Thirsty Fish 1.
I am a thirsty fish. All summer
I played Mozart's Requiem.
What death did I mourn?
All summer I went down to the bay
And swam, pushing between clots
Of seaweed and moving grass,
The water murky but with running
Streams of golden light.
excerpt from "The Thirsty Fish"

Premonitions
Suddenly dark ragged forms flew
Across the room and disappeared
In the corner. I feel as if I am living
In a haunted house infected with
An unknown disease. Something
Fastens on us all. The Angel Of Death?
Our fears? our passions? Our misgivings?
Save me, save us all from that yawning
Precipice.
