poems by my grandson

 David D. Black

     Trees

Underneath of boughs of golden brown

On sweet green grass and soft ground

Within the peace of living bowers

Within the strength of growing towers

There reside

My friend within

The lining of willow leaves

Around the trunks beneath the eaves

Of sleeping giant trees.

See Me

See me born

See me crawl

See me toddle

See me fall

See me run

See me walk

See me think

See me talk

See me need

And be satisfied.

See me alone

See me quiet

See my sin

See me deny it

See me marry

See my wife

See my children

See my life

See them love

See them live

See the grace

That my God gives

See me see them

See me glad

I'm content with

The life I've had

See me age

See me die

See my laughter

See me fly

Away

To

                                          Rest in Jesus arms.....................
